Join us for the 15th annual Ugly Pot Throw Celebration on Saturday, October 18!
The Ugly Pot Throw Celebration is a free, community event inspired by the ugly pot: the fallen, broken, mis-glazed, wonky, pots “give their life to teach you how to make the next pot better”! We must honor those ugly pots as teachers and guides on our journey. As we throw them against the wall we exclaim, “I’m going to make the next one better!”

Throw an ugly pot against the wall as you exclaim, “I’m going to make the next one better!” This has been our tradition during The Ugly Pot Throw for 15 years! You’ll also have a hands-on opportunity at the event to throw a pot on the wheel!

The Ugly Pot Throw Celebration features a unique pottery market, showcasing artists in our market tent as well as over 30 artists creating in their studios! Support your local potters and stock up early for the holidays!

The Ugly Pot Throw Celebration is a free and family friendly event!
Are there activities for kids?
The Ugly Pot Throw Celebration is a family friendly event! Four legged friends are welcome as well. We have a kid’s table where children can make a clay project.
What's the best time to come?
The Ugly Pot Throw Celebration opens at 10:00 AM for the general public. Come early for the best selection of pottery and parking!
Is it pet friendly?
Yes, The Ugly Pot Throw Celebration is a pet friendly event. We just ask you keep your furry friends on a leash. Be aware this event is held on pavement.
Where do I park? Do I have to pay to park?
Parking is FREE and we will have signs to guide you exactly where to park. We will have handicap accessible parking. Parking is limited, so we recommend using Ride Share to get here.
Do you have food and alcohol?
We will have hot dogs, chips, drinks, and snacks available for purchase! This is an alcohol-free event.
What type of artists will be selling their work?
There will be over 30 talented potters from The Clay Lady’s Campus selling their work!
Is this an indoor or outdoor event?
The Ugly Pot Throw Celebration is both an indoor and outdoor event and will go on rain or shine! All outdoor activities will be under a tent.
