The Clay Lady’s Education Center offers private group pottery or handbuilding workshops The Clay Lady Way! These workshops are accessible, fun and a great way to build spirit! 

We host private groups such as a business sending their staff for teambuilding, a family gathering, a women’s or men’s group, any social club, a church group, or even a book club!

Private Group Handbuilding Workshops

With guidance from an experienced instructor, workshop participants will start with a ball of clay to turn it into a handmade, preselected project! After it is made you get to paint it then leave it with us so we can clear glaze and kiln fire, ready to be picked up within 2 weeks!

  • Up to 40 attendees
  • 2-2.5 hour party
  • $40 per person – 20 person/$800 minimum (fewer than 20 people will still pay $800)
  • $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your time slot – payable to Mid-South Ceramics
  • Adults or intergenerational groups

Studio Availability:

  • Thursdays 2:00-4:30 in Studio B
  • Fridays 2:00-4:30 in Studio B
  • Saturdays 2:00-4:30 in Studio B
  • Saturdays 5:30-8:00 in Studio B

Private Group Pottery Wheel Workshops

With guidance from an experienced instructor, workshop participants will work on a potter’s wheel for three opportunities to make up to three pots! After it is made you get to paint it then leave it with us so we can clear glaze and kiln fire, ready to be picked up within 2 weeks!

  • Up to 24 attendees
  • 2-2.5 hour party
  • $85 per person – 12 person/$1,020 minimum (fewer than 12 people will still pay $1,020)
  • $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your time slot – payable to Mid-South Ceramics
  • Adults or intergenerational groups

Studio Availability:

  • Thursdays 9:30-12:00 in Studio F
  • Fridays 5:30-8:00 in Studio D
  • Saturdays 2:00-4:30 in Studio D and F
  • Saturdays 5:30-8:00 in Studio D and F

Our private group workshops are a fun experience with a focus on education:

  • We do no host bachelorette parties
  • We do not host children’s birthday parties
  • No alcohol, food, or drink can be served
  • No decor is allowed
  • We do not offer offsite private group workshops
  • We recommend booking 2-3 months in advance
